Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick was born in Portland,
Maine, to Janice (Cooke), an accountant and William Kendrick, a teacher.
Michael Cooke Kendrick, her older brother, has also performed. She is of
English, Irish, and Scottish descent.For her role in the show "Dinah"
in "High Society" on Broadway, Anna Kendrick was nominated for an
Tony Award (second youngest ever) and an award from the Drama Desk Award, and
an award called a Fany Award (best actress featured in a musical). Her stunning
performance earned her Theatre World Award and Drama League Award. She was also
