Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed an early aptitude for athletics when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic talent at that at the time. Just 10 weeks after her first tryout she came in second place in the 200 meter event in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic award at 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s which set the new world junior record. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third in each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
