Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix's athletic talent was evident right from the day she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks following her very first tryout. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school and signed a professional deal with the athletics company Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. The youngest participant in the 200 meter at the World Championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She won her medal time and time again in 2007 beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third of each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
