Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey is an African American author. Her most well-known work is as the ex-wife to the comedian Steve Harvey. She chose to keep her private life secretive and out of the spotlight. Steve has not been able to achieve the success he is currently enjoying, however they had been married for 14 years. There have been rumors in Hollywood about the motives behind their breakup. Some believe that Steve Harvey was cheating, while others blame him for choosing the field of comedy for his work. The tragic story of her life is attributed to the incident that Steve quit her and his two daughters when she was expecting their third baby. Despite all of the challenges, she has made a name for herself in fashion and writing. Her books include "Marcia: Eyes To The Soul', 'Marcia: Poems From The Heart', and 'Marcia: Thoughts from My Mind'. Her kindness has been an inspiration to her children. Marcia Harvey was raised in an African-American family and isn't wealthy. She began her career in the department store "Saks Fifth Avenue". Steve came across her at a wedding reception for a mutual friend a couple of years later. They became lovers and were married in 1980. Steve was employed as an insurance salesman at that time and the couple was blessed with twin girls in 1982. Steve began to be dissatisfied at his job and determined to pursue a career in entertainment. He hoped to be comedian stand-up. This led to a lot of friction between him and Marcia and later reports suggested that they were beginning to live apart from the year 1990. Marcia Harvey's fame stemmed in large part due to her marriage Steve Harvey, and their divorce. While the details of their divorce from 1994 are kept private, it's evident that Marcia was expecting their third child at the time when everything fell apart. Marcia was finally able to file for divorce on the 23rd of March, 1993. Following the divorce, and Steve Harvey's refusal to pay alimony and child support, Marcia was forced to take legal action.
